Zara’s stripes the great escape

Verse 1
Zebra Zara woke one morn,
“Oh, what happened? My stripes are gone!”
My body’s black like midnight sky,
Where did all my stripes run by?

She looked under her little bed,
Dusty bunnies there instead.
“No stripes here,” she gave a sigh,
And a little tear fell from her eye.

Zara searched the grassy field,
But no stripes did it reveal.
